Will my cat actually let me use it? Most pets take to it better than a wire brush — silicone bristles feel more like being stroked than being combed. Start with short sessions and let them sniff it first. Cats who hate grooming will still be cats about it, but the massage feel helps.

Does it get wet? Will my pet mind the spray? It's a fine mist, not a soaking — just enough to weigh down loose hair. Fill it with plain water. Most pets barely notice, though nervous ones may need a session or two to get used to the sound.
